Join Silverleaf Academy as Finance Manager and lead the financial strategy behind one of Tanzania's fastest-growing education networks. You'll shape capital strategy, financial sustainability, governance, and business performance while supporting the organisation's ambitious expansion from 5 to 30 schools. This is a strategic leadership role, not a traditional accounting position.

Who you are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in senior finance leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, capital structuring, and fundraising.

  • Experience managing blended finance, investment rounds, and shareholder dilution.

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Experience implementing ERP or finance management systems.

  • Deep understanding of Tanzanian tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including Board-level reporting.

  • Experience in high-growth, multi-site, or mission-driven organisations is an advantage.

What you'll do:
  • Lead Silverleaf's long-term financial strategy, forecasting, and expansion planning.

  • Develop multi-scenario financial models to support executive and Board decision-making.

  • Design and manage capital strategies across grants, equity, and debt financing.

  • Partner with the Managing Director on fundraising, investor relations, and financing activities.

  • Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and enterprise-wide financial performance.

  • Implement scalable finance systems, automation, and reporting processes.

  • Strengthen governance, internal controls, risk management, and statutory compliance.

  • Prepare clear financial reports and insights for the Executive Team and Board.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.

  • Promote financial literacy and accountability across the organisation.
