Head of Middle Primary (Grades 3–4)

2-year full-time contract • Reports to the Head Teacher • Leads Grade Leads and Teachers • Responsible for driving academic excellence, teacher development, and student success across Grades 3–4.

Lead one of the most important stages of primary education, where students strengthen their literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills. As Head of Middle Primary, you will inspire teachers, drive high-quality teaching and learning, monitor student achievement, and foster a positive, inclusive school culture that prepares every learner for future success.

Who you are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education from a recognised institution.

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, and teacher coaching.

  • Strong understanding of student assessment and child-centred learning.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

  • Passion for developing high-performing teams and improving student outcomes.

What you'll do:
  • Lead teaching, learning, and curriculum delivery across Grades 3–4.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop teachers through regular feedback and professional development.

  • Monitor student achievement and implement targeted academic interventions.

  • Foster a positive school culture, student wellbeing, and effective behaviour management.

  • Oversee co-curricular programmes and student leadership opportunities.

  • Support day-to-day academic operations and resource planning.

  • Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider school community.
